Frank explained that Polucca was a reclusive man who kept vicious dogs to deter visitors.	Frank spiegò che Polucca era un uomo solitario che teneva cani feroci per scoraggiare i visitatori.

Intrigued, the group decided to visit the house. As they approached, the sky darkened with gathering storm clouds, adding to the eerie atmosphere.	Incuriosito, il gruppo decise di visitare la casa. They rode as far as they could, then continued on foot. The grounds were unkempt, with tall grass and weeds everywhere.	Guidarono fin dove poterono, poi proseguirono a piedi. Il terreno era trascurato, con erba alta ed erbacce dappertutto.
The old stone building loomed before them, partially hidden by overgrown vegetation. A loose shutter banged in the wind, breaking the silence. "Let's go in," Frank said, leading the way.	"Entriamo", disse Frank, facendo strada.
The front door creaked open at his touch. Inside, everything was covered in dust. They entered what seemed to be a parlour, empty except for a stone fireplace.	La porta d'ingresso si aprì scricchiolando al suo tocco. All'interno, tutto era coperto di polvere. Entrarono in quello che sembrava un salotto, vuoto tranne che per un camino di pietra.
A rat darted across the floor. The sudden movement made them all flinch, as the boys were already on edge due to the unsettling atmosphere of the place.	Un topo sfrecciò sul pavimento. Il movimento improvviso li fece trasalire tutti, dato che i ragazzi erano già nervosi a causa dell'atmosfera inquietante del luogo.
"Just a rat," Frank reassured the group. "It’s just an ordinary, dirty, deserted house…"	"Solo un topo", rassicurò Frank il gruppo. "È solo una normale casa sporca e abbandonata..."
At that moment there was a startling interruption. A strange, terrified shriek echoed from the upper floor of the haunted house!	In quel momento ci fu un'interruzione allarmante. Uno strano grido terrorizzato riecheggiò dal piano superiore della casa stregata!
